Customization Terms and Conditions

Scope of Service +

Liberty Bell Jerseys ("LBJ") customizes hockey jerseys only. Other garment types are not accepted unless specifically agreed upon in advance.

LBJ inspects all customization kits, but minor design variations due to manufacturer differences or production year are a normal part of the process. While LBJ aims for authentic, high-quality results, perfect 1:1 replication of on-ice, historical, or manufacturer specifications cannot be guaranteed.

Waitlist & Order Process +

All work is scheduled through a waitlist. Do not ship your jersey until you've received an invitation email ("It's your turn!"). Jerseys sent without an invitation may be returned at the customer's expense.

Once invited, you have five business days to confirm and ship. After that window, your spot may be forfeited or pushed back. This five-business-day response window applies to all follow-up communication throughout the project. If a customer goes silent, delays shipping, or stops responding, LBJ may move on. Customers who attempt to resume a stalled project weeks later may be required to rejoin the waitlist. Spots cannot be held indefinitely.

Rush service is available for $85 per jersey, subject to availability. For orders requiring LBJ to source kit materials, rush service may not be available, as procurement timelines can vary. Rush moves your order to the front of the queue, it does not guarantee a specific completion date. See Payment for deposit requirements

Payment +

Payment is due once work is completed. If payment is not received within 15 calendar days of invoice, the order may be canceled and any kit materials re-listed. LBJ reserves the right to hold the jersey until payment is received in full.

Rush orders require advance payment of kit materials and the rush fee before work begins. This deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced.

Project Limitations +

To keep workloads manageable and avoid unresolvable conflicts, LBJ enforces the following restrictions:

No Parts-Only Work

LBJ does not cut, sell, or supply loose nameplates, letters, numbers, blank fabric, partial materials, or templates. All work is performed on the customer's actual jersey.

No Third-Party Coordination

LBJ does not collaborate with or supply materials to outside customization shops, including Hockey Authentic and EPS. Projects must be handled entirely by LBJ or entirely by another vendor — split projects are not accepted. Customer-supplied kits are accepted as-is; no modifications will be made to third-party materials.

No Proprietary Replication

LBJ cannot reproduce proprietary manufacturer construction such as industrial serging, factory bonding, or unreleased fonts. All work is limited to LBJ's existing font and materials library. Custom font recreation requests will not be accepted.

No Midstream Takeovers

LBJ will not step in to correct, finish, or match work started by another customizer. Projects must originate with LBJ from the start.

Proofs & Approvals +

LBJ sends proofs or photos before stitching when appropriate, and upon request. Approval of a proof constitutes acceptance of the design, spacing, and font selection. Once approved, the artwork is locked — no further changes will be made without additional cost.

If LBJ produces work that differs from an approved proof, LBJ will correct it at no charge. Rework requests based on preference changes after proof approval will not be honored.

Jersey Condition & Liability +

All jerseys are inspected upon arrival. LBJ reserves the right to refuse or cancel work on jerseys that arrive damaged, soiled, or otherwise unsuitable. The customer will be notified, and return shipping costs may apply.

LBJ's liability is limited to the cost of labor and materials provided by LBJ. LBJ is not responsible for the market value, replacement cost, or sentimental value of customer-supplied jerseys or materials.

Stripping & Cleaning +

Old kits are generally discarded after removal. If any lettering or patches are salvageable, they will be returned with the jersey.

Authentication tags (including Meigray and other official tags) are removed as part of the stripping process to ensure a clean ownership history. The issuing organization will be notified that the jersey has been altered from its original state.

LBJ uses a range of solvents depending on the job, from standard removers to industrial-strength chemicals. Specific formulations are not disclosed for safety reasons. All chemicals are applied carefully to minimize any risk to the jersey.

After chemical treatment, jerseys are washed to remove residue and hung to dry — they are never put in a dryer. A basic wash is included with all work. If more intensive cleaning is needed, the customer will be notified before work begins.

Communication & Turnaround +

LBJ does not provide turnaround estimates. Timelines vary based on queue position, order complexity, and material availability. To protect work quality and maintain a sustainable schedule, LBJ's response times may vary depending on workload.

Excessive or rapid-fire messages may go unanswered until the next available window. Hostile, accusatory, or abusive communication may result in project cancellation and refund.

Cancellation & Refunds +

If a customer cancels before sending their jersey or before work begins, no charge is applied. Once work has started, cancellation is not possible.

LBJ reserves the right to cancel a project at any time if communication becomes inappropriate, expectations cannot be met, or the project falls outside LBJ's capabilities or policies. If LBJ cancels, a full refund will be issued for any labor or materials not yet applied.

Refunds are final. Once a refund is issued, LBJ will not revisit the project, provide further guidance, supply materials, or continue any form of involvement.
Shipping +

Customers are responsible for all inbound and outbound shipping costs unless otherwise arranged in advance. LBJ is not liable for packages lost or damaged in transit — insured shipping is strongly encouraged. Return shipping for reworks or cancellations is the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

LBJ does not offer in-person drop-off or pick-up. All jerseys are shipped to LBJ's PO Box, which keeps projects organized and maintains a clear record for both parties. USPS is the preferred carrier and typically delivers locally within one to two business days. Arrival will be confirmed once the package is received.

International Orders +

The buyer is responsible for all import, customs, and brokerage fees. LBJ will not be held responsible for any local taxes or duties assessed upon delivery.

Photography & Portfolio +

LBJ photographs completed work and may use those images for portfolio and promotional purposes. Customer names and personal details will not be shared without permission.

Disputes +

In the event of a dispute, customers agree to contact LBJ directly at contact@libertybelljerseys.com before posting publicly on social media, forums, or review platforms. LBJ will make reasonable efforts to resolve legitimate concerns through direct communication.

Policy Changes +

These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. The version in effect at the time of order placement governs that transaction. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
