Who am I?

I was “The Dejocker” - but that’s no longer the name I use (obviously), and you can read about that here. I’m DexterMorgan67 on reddit, DM67 on Discord. I collect and sell hockey jerseys, as well as make fun hockey-related stuff.

Based in Raleigh, NC, I’m a huge Hurricanes fan. I grew up outside of Philly, where I was raised a Flyers fan. In 2005, we moved to NC and watched the Canes raise the cup, with Brind’Amour snatching it away from Bettman! The snapshot of Rod hangs in every sports bar in Raleigh.

That magical run solidified me as a Caniac. I still pull for the Flyers, but not with the fervor I do the Canes.

But what about the JERSEYS!?

I started collecting a few years ago. I figured I’d hop on the Jets bandwagon, and wanted to get a favorite ex-Cane jersey - an Andrew Ladd jersey.

Well, I bought a fake, like so many do when starting out. A size 48, bubbly, oily, nasty thing. r/hockeyjerseys called me out, and I started learning! It started with a personalized foul from NHL shop, then some jerseys from Full Moon Jerseys (eBay), and then an authentic from CoolHockey, then more and more jerseys from everywhere, learning what I liked and what I didn’t.

Year after year, I’ve learned more and more about jerseys and their history, from the modern era of Reebok Edge and Adidas, and the labyrinth of the 90’s and before. I love rescuing jerseys that have been mistreated - customized with a weird name, customized poorly, or just in need of some TLC!
