Adidas MiC v. Adidas Retail v. Fanatics BreakawayIn general, this album will have the MiC jersey on bottom, Retail in the middle, and Fanatics on the top layer. Neck line - Both Adidas have the pattern sublimated, while the Fanatics is screen-printed. Some teams have screen-printed on the retail Adidas as well, but all MiC Adidas have sublimated designs. Shield and lace comparison. Shield is actually a touch smaller on the MiC, but is much more flexible. Fanatics has a non-shiny variant. Laces on the MiC and Retail are similar, whereas on the Fanatics the pattern is dropped and the eyelets are round instead of oblong. Crests - a huge difference. The MiC's crest is heavy twill. The Retail's is a bit thinner and more comfortable. The Fanatics is single-layer sublimated, and is very flexible. It does have the fanatics "sheen" material, which can be quite jarring to look at. Waist stripe construction. The MiC has distinct layering. The Retail does as well, but uses different materials than the MiC. The Fanatics used the same materials for all stripes. Waist strip shape comparison. MiC has quite the curve, Retail has a small curve, and Fanatics is straight. Dimples. This is an obvious change. The MiC has real dimples that are pressed in. The Retail seems to be two layers that have holes cut out to simulate dimples. The Fanatics completely lacks this detail. Neck detail comparison - The MiC has a smaller border on the Adidas logo, while the Fanatics lacks a rear logo entirely. Pit comparison. The MiC has a different venting than the Retail, while the Fanatics uses the same material on all panels. Sleeve shape - Fanatics is very slim, Retail is more comfortable, and MiC is loose enough for gear. Arm construction comparison Rear numbering. Stacked v. Fanatics "sheen" sublimated numbers. Normally fanatics kits are heat-pressed, I had this one stitched down. Nameplate comparison. This is more of a comparison of EPS (top), Action Spot Sports (middle), and Fanatics factory (bottom) Fight strap attachment - Fanatics has none, Retail has a normal flimsy attachment, and the MiC has a beefy double-layer attachment.
